When Crispin first woke after his transformation into a vampire, he was in a graveyard with bones all around him, from which he got his vampire name Bones. Only Timothy accepted the offer, but Ian had Crispin and Charles changed anyway, thinking that they would thank him later for it. He returned a year later, now changed into a vampire, and freed Crispin, Charles, and Timothy, offering to change them into vampires. On the ship to Australia, Crispin befriended Baron Charles DeMortimer, Ian, and Timothy.
